Byes: Panthers, Broncos, Patriots, Seahawks
1. Kansas City Chiefs at Indianapolis Colts
Thoughts: This is the one game where I could see any outcome coming to pass- I could see the Chiefs blowout the Colts. I could see the Colts blow out the Chiefs. I could see a close game end with either team winning. As it is, the Chiefs' defense has gotten healthier in recent weeks and the Colts are still hurting in the passing game. It'll be close, but I'm going with KC.
Pick: Chiefs
2. New Orleans Saints at Philadelphia Eagles
Thoughts: If the Saints win, it'll be the biggest upset of the weekend. The Saints haven't played well on the road for most of the season, and with Philadelphia set to have frigid temperatures, the only warmth will come from the Eagles' offense.
Pick: Eagles
3. San Diego Chargers at Cincinnati Bengals
Thoughts: The Bengals already beat the Chargers this season and that game was in San Diego. The Bengals were a perfect 8-0 at home in the regular season. I expect the Bengals to win their first playoff game since the 1990 season. If they don't, it'll be a major step back for a franchise that desperately needs to go forward.
Pick: Bengals
4. San Francisco 49ers at Green Bay Packers
Thoughts: Fittingly, this game will be far and away the coldest of the weekend. Aaron Rodgers is back and played well against the Bears, but the Bears' defense was noting special this year to be generous. The 49ers defense can more than hold its own against the Packers' offense and the 49ers offense can spank the terrible Packers defense. Even though they're at home, I'd still be mildly surprised if the Packers can win, though I won't be shocked.
Pick: 49ers
